The earth, water, fire, wind, space, sun, moon and the Kshetrajna (knower of the field, i.e. soul) are the eight manifest forms of Shiva. This interpretation, per the Shiva Purana, implies that Shiva is the Knower and the known. Recall from a previous entry entitled Shivam, a verse from the Tirumantiram also spoke of Shiva manifesting as the eight (Note: sometimes the eighth entity is listed as the asterisms, but more often the eighth is the soul.)

The eight forms may also be viewed as the guardians of the eight terrestrial directions:

Sharva rules over the east
Bhava rules over the northeast
Rudra rules over the north
Ugra rules over the northwest
Bhima rules over the west
Pashupati rules over the southwest
Ishana rules over the south
Mahadeva over the southeast

#Shiva is the center, and His eight forms are the eight directions. He is both the Pervader and the pervaded.

The eight forms of Shiva show, using ancient schemes of the eight existent entities, that Shiva is the manifest Divine. Thus, the Ashtamurtis together represent Shiva’s universal form (Vishvarupa).

मिथ्यापूर्ण  है कालसर्प दोष

आधुनिक समय मै कालसर्प दोष  से ज्योतिष्  मै बढ़ी भ्रांति व्याप्त है फलसरूप समाज को बढ़ी भ्रांतियों का सामना करना पर रहा है यधपि ज्योतिष् शास्त्रो की बात कही जाये तो कालसर्प दोष की कही भी पुष्टि नहीं होती है, जबकि आधुनिक समय मै कालसर्प दोष पर चैनल के माध्यम से प्रचार प्रसार चरम सीमा पर है. ज्योतिष् शास्त्रो मैं मानवी जीवन को प्रभावित क़रने वाले अनके योग और दोष हैं जिनका वर्णन भ्रिगु संहिता , मान सागरी इत्यादि महा पुस्तकों मिलता है लेकिन कालसर्प दोष नाम से कोई दोष नहीं है, जब की बाजार मैं नव विद्वानों  द्वारा लिखी गयी पुस्तकों के भंडार हैं| अर्ध कालसर्प दोष तथा पूर्ण कालसर्प दोष एवं उसकी शांति की बात समाज मैं आम हो गयी है प्रचार प्रसार की अधिकता के कारण जीवन मैं पीढ़ित लोग ज्योतिषियों के पास कालसर्प दोष की खूब ही चर्चा करने लगे हैं| इस विषय का प्रचुर मात्रा मैं बाज़ारीकरण किया जा रहा है और अनेक ज्योतिष् केंद एवं धार्मिक संस्थानों का यह एक मुख्य राजस्व का स्रोत बन चुका है|  आधुनिक ज्योतिषियों के अनुसार जब किसी कुंडली मैं सभी ग्रहे राहू और केतु के प्रभाव मैं आ जाते हैं तब उसको कालसर्प दोष माना जाता है तथा कोई एक ग्रहे एक स्थिति से बाहर होता है तो उसे अर्ध कालसर्प दोष कहते हैं कहा जाता है कालसर्प दोष की शांति कराये बिना सुख नहीं मिलता है लेकिन अगर हम वैदिक ज्योतिष् और उसके परिणाम की बात करे तो इसकी पुष्टि कंही भी नहीं होती है

अधूरा ज्ञान और तीव्र धन कमाने की लालसा एवं इस प्रकार के भ्रांथिपूर्ण तथ्य समाज मैं ज्योतिष् विज्ञान पर प्रश्न चिन्ह लगा देते हैं | अदापि ज्योतिष् मै पार पाना बढ़ा मुस्किल है | ज्योतिषि को उसकी लगन तथा मेहनत के बल पर ही उसे देवज्ञ यानि देवता माना गया है| इसलिये इसकी मर्यादा का ध्यान रखना अति आवश्यक माना गया है |आधुनिक युग में ज्योतिष् विज्ञान में भ्रांति तथा अविश्वास के लिए ज्योतिषियों की अज्ञानता बहुत बढ़े पैमाने पर कारक है | जिससे समाज को बढ़े पैमाने पर अविश्वास पैदा होता है | अगर गौर किया जाये तो ज्योतिषि अपने स्वार्थ के चलते काफी हद तक दोषी है |  जिसके चलते जोतिष भारत की प्राचीन तथा वैदिक विधा होने के वाद भी संदेह के घेरे मे है | जिसका मुझे काफी अफसोस है | यधपि मेरा मानना यह नहीं है की मै अपने विषय का पूर्ण ज्ञाता हू | लेकिन मेरा मानना यह अवश्य है कि ज्योतिष् प्रेमियों के सहयोग द्वारा समाज में ज्योतिष् के प्रति बड़ रहे अविश्वाश कों दूर किया जा सकता है | हम सबको मिल कर इस ओर कदम बढ़ाने चाहिए यही सफलता का आधार है |

अधजल गागरी छल्कत जाये, जिस तरह से बरसाती नाले एवं नदियाँ ज़ोर शोर से बहती हैं उसी तरह से आजकल के ज्योतिषी अपना ज्ञान प्रचुरता से बिखेरते है और समाज मैं भ्रांति उत्पन्न कर रहे है, इस वजह से भारतीय ज्योतिष् की मान्यताएँ शिथिल होती प्रतीत हो रही हैं. वेदिक ज्योतिष् ज्ञान को अपने विवेक एवं समझ से परखें और योग्य ज्योतिषी का अनुसरण करें. आओ हम सब इस ओर प्रयास करे|
